Description

A classic and comforting tuna melt sandwich with flaky tuna salad and melted cheese on toasted bread. Perfect for a quick lunch or a satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (5 oz) tuna, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices bread
  • 24 slices cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or provolone)
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine drained tuna, mayonnaise, celery, onion, and Dijon mustard.
  2. Mix well and season with salt and pepper to your liking.
  3. Spread the tuna salad evenly on two slices of bread.
  4. Top each with 1-2 slices of cheese.
  5. Place the remaining two slices of bread on top to form sandwiches.
  6. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  7. Cook sandwiches for 3-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Serve hot.
