Description

A simple recipe for homemade pumpkin spice syrup, perfect for fall drinks and desserts.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine water, sugar, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin pie spice in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
  6. Pour into a clean jar or bottle and store in the refrigerator.

  • For a smoother syrup, press the pumpkin puree through a sieve before adding it to the saucepan.
