- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine water, sugar, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin pie spice in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
- Pour into a clean jar or bottle and store in the refrigerator.
Notes
- For a smoother syrup, press the pumpkin puree through a sieve before adding it to the saucepan.
- Adjust the amount of pumpkin pie spice to your preference.
- This syrup will last for about 2-3 weeks in the refrigerator.
