- 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions

- Pour the peach mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, 1/4 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Pour in the milk and melted butter. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.
- Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit batter over the peach mixture.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
- For canned peaches, use those packed in juice or light syrup, and drain them well.
- If using fresh peaches, you can peel them or leave the skins on for a more rustic texture.
