- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar (1 tablespoon cinnamon mixed with 1 tablespoon sugar)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
- For a thicker bar, use a smaller pan.
- These bars freeze well; wrap individually and store in the freezer.
