- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes with green chilies, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add cooked elbow macaroni to the skillet and stir to combine.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
- Serve hot.
